  • Arevon Energy

    Based in Warrington, Arevon Energy harvest gas emissions from over 40 landfill sites in both the United Kingdom and United States and is a market leader in providing clean energy throughout these markets.

     

    Situation

    Twenty Four IT have provided IT Support to Arevon Energy for over 5 years, during which the company has grown in size from a few sites to over 30, located throughout the UK.

    All of these sites needed to be managed from their Head Office in Warrington, with the power stations located at each site requiring full and instant remote control over the operations at each station.

    In addition to their sites in the UK, Arevon Energy acquired a similar business in the United States consisting of 12 additional landfill sites which needed to be integrated into the UK network infrastructure.

     

    Method

    It was necessary to begin with an overhaul of the entire networking infrastructure, building a central server in the UK to communicate with all sites and to prepare for the integration with the network overseas.

    Once the server installation had been completed, a visit was made to the sites in the US to both finalise the network integration and to migrate the existing American payroll software to its British equivalent, to be administered from Arevon’s head office.

     

    Result

    The overall result of the project saw the creation of a network that allows for seamless working between multiple sites both nationally and internationally.

    Arevon Energy can now connect to machines all over their network and use them as though they were located in the same office and the centralised payroll system allows for all payroll functions to be performed from head office without worry.

    Expanding property management company requiring the combing of UK business and USA business. Have a server onsite here in the UK with the USA having Hotmail, data, files and applications across multiple devices.

     

    Assessment

    The systems in use were disparate and were not allowing the company to communicate effectively, was losing business opportunity by being unable to access the data if in the other country. Needed a system that allowed the communication of both sites without compromising security of data.

     

    Solution & Implementation

    24 IT provided us with a Secure online file sharing service that was incorporated into our server, Microsoft Office 365, and VoIP system to allow customers to be able to contact on direct dial lines.

     

    Results

    We now have a secure system that allows all users access to both the USA and the UK properties. Our customers can contact the offices either side of the channel and staff are able to update the information that is relevant per property regardless of its geographical location and only requiring that my team get the relevant data input asap to the system.

    Due to the increase of communication and information there is now improved communication between the continental offices and customers really feel that their properties are being managed effectively by a company that has all the information they, the customer, requires at their fingertips.

    Conclusion

    Smooth running set up has enabled us to grow business as our reputation grows with our efficiency in ensuring that customers properties to a high specification with regular feedback which can be accessed and delivered from secure sites on either side of the Atlantic. No down time since then and the Helpdesk monitors the system in the background and lets us know in a timely way when upgrades are required.

    Situation

    Needed an overhaul of their complete IT infrastructure to be more stream lined and cost effective.

     

    Method

    Twenty Four IT Services carried out a complete Network Appraisal in the first instance to have an overall picture of performance. Recommendation was to move to a more suitable fully hosted remote desktop environment on a monthly payment plan and establishing a more secure and confidential IT environment both for the company, their customers and their candidates.

     

    Results

    A more cost effective and quality IT System that has supported iRecruits development and growth. They are now operating three separate companies from one Platform giving the Company Owners flexibility to access data from all businesses and continue to grow and develop their award winning business.
